Applications
NDT solutions for industrial inspection work.
TRX products support ultrasonic inspection workflows for welds, pipelines, pressure vessels, storage tanks, structural components and field maintenance projects.
Select equipment around the inspection task.
A suitable setup depends on the workpiece, inspection method, access and existing instrument. The catalogue examples below are starting points for discussion, not a guarantee of suitability for a particular procedure.
PAUT and TOFD weld inspection
For plate and pipe welds, consider the complete probe, wedge, scanner and encoder arrangement. Confirm the weld geometry, pipe diameter or plate dimensions, number of probes, probe spacing and instrument model.
The R3-D Double Rod is a catalogue option to discuss for weld scanning. Review it with the probe families and matching wedges.
Restricted-access pipe welds
Pipe diameter alone does not determine scanner fit. Include the available clearance, nearby obstructions, probe and wedge dimensions, and required spacing. A dimensioned sketch helps identify the actual access restriction.
Review R20-D / R20-S chain scanners for small-diameter pipe weld enquiries, then confirm the configuration against the workpiece.
Pipe and elbow corrosion inspection
Describe the pipe or elbow geometry, diameter, inspection area, surface condition and coupling requirements. Confirm how the selected probe and scanner connect to the acquisition instrument.
The R5 Bend Pipe Corrosion Scanner is a catalogue starting point for pipe and elbow wall inspection. See the scanner directory for other application families.
Special geometry and replacement parts
When a standard part does not fit, send the existing part number, probe model, required angle, contact-surface curvature, operating temperature and mounting details. Include a drawing or photographs with dimensions.
Review custom wedge material and geometry options or custom probes and machined accessories. Check cable and connector requirements as part of the same configuration.
Check the complete chain before ordering
Instrument → cable and connector → probe → wedge → scanner and encoder. Confirm each interface, not only the headline product model. The purchasing request should also identify quantity, required date and destination.
TRX provides equipment sourcing and configuration support. The inspection organisation remains responsible for its qualified procedure, calibration, personnel and acceptance criteria.
